The New Zealand Institute of Rural Health (NZIRH) has received funding from the Ministry of Health through the Rural Innovation Fund to develop an e-library record of innovative rural health projects.

The online resource library of rural innovation/change projects assist rural health service providers and communities with the implementation of the Primary Health Care Strategy by:

• Providing information on how to implement the strategy in innovative ways and on successful rural health service work.
• Avoiding duplication of resources.

The intention is to raise awareness of these projects and assist the implementation of innovative ideas in other areas. Before commencing new projects, rural health practitioners and managers are able to find out the lessons learned by others, liaise with the project contact persons and avoid duplication of resources.

The e-library houses:

• Relevant website links, and
• A one page summary of innovative rural health projects undertaken or in progress since 2005.

Information to Submitters of Material

This website was funded by the Ministry of Health Rural Innovation Fund and as such the Ministry of Health (‘the Ministry’) owns the Intellectual Property (‘IP’) of the website composition and structure. 

The Ministry does not own any IP rights of any work incorporated into the library, and such work remains the property of the original owner.  However, any material submitted by you on the website can be used by the Ministry.  The Ministry will acknowledge your ownership of the material if it is used by the Ministry.
